BEYOND ROME
Legends grew in his absence.
Some said he joined distant tribes and taught them Roman discipline. Others claimed he founded a city beyond the maps, where justice ruled without envy. A few insisted he wandered as a philosopher-warrior, seeking a Rome that existed only in ideals.
In the capital, the emperor’s reign continued—but never again did a general command such love.
And among soldiers, when morale faltered or courage thinned, a whisper still passed along the line:
“Remember Vincit.”
For Rome had banished the man—
—but not the example.
And long before Christ walked the earth, in an age of iron and ambition, there lived a warrior who conquered not merely enemies—
—but himself.
